Jen P. Harris (American, b. 1977) is a Los Angeles-based artist working with painting, collage, installation, and collective projects with the intent to open new ways of seeing by making complexity and contradiction visible. 

Harris was born in Virginia and completed her undergraduate studies at Yale. She attended the Yale-Norfolk Summer School of Art and the International School of Art in Umbria (Italy) before earning her MFA at Queens College of the City University of New York. In 2012 she was awarded a Fellowship in Painting from the New York Foundation for the Arts. Harris’ work has been exhibited in museums and galleries across the US, including New York, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Milwaukee, and Des Moines. Her projects have received support from the Puffin Foundation; Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice; NAVEL; Women’s Studio Workshop; and the Iowa Arts Council.
